Joie B. is a highly experienced pro makeup artist, hairstylist, beauty educator, and the owner of Joie Blake Beauty. She has been a pro makeup artist for 10 years, with 6 years bridal experience. She expanded her career into hairstyling two years ago and she LOVES it! She has worked in hundreds of venues across the tristate area and have glammed hundreds of brides and their groups! Her ultimate goal is to empower her clients through the magic of glam.

She created her brand in January 2022 with the intention of creating a safe space for all of the clients and the glam pros she works with. She believes that beauty is completely customizable and that with the right team, every client can feel their very best. Joie has successfully created not only a luxury experience, but also a warm and friendly experience that promotes self love and unique expression! 

Emily is a well-trained HMUA with over 6 years of professional experience. She has worked for major brands like Esteé Lauder. She is experienced in  all different kinds of skin types, hair types, and beauty needs. She was even hired by our owner, Joie Blake, to do her hair at her wedding! Emily is passionate about her craft and is always learning new techniques and trends to keep her clients happy and looking gorgeous! Her favorite part of being a makeup artist is making each and every client feel beautiful. Of her many wonderful traits, her ability to make genuine connections with her clients and truly bring their personal vision to life stands out! Her favorite beauty quote is “Beauty to me is about being comfortable in your skin. That and a kick ass red lipstick.” Emily has many years of working with brides under her belt and is known for how wonderful she makes her client feel! Joie and Emily have been working together for two years!

Asia has been a licensed hairstylist and educator for over 5 years. In addition to successfully managing Drybar and handling all different kinds of clients, Asia has been working with brides for years. Asia is highly experienced with all different hair types and hairstyles. Asia loves being able to turn absolutely anything into something beautiful and being able to make the day of anyone sitting in her chair. She always feels honored to be a part of her clients’ big day and to share special moments with them along the way. She is a master at making anyone feel comfortable. Her background in hairstyling education has sharpened her skills as a bridal professional and has allowed her to teach clients about their hair and help them heal specific issues. Asia and Joie have been working together for two years. Asia made her debut as a makeup artist last year and has been helping brides turn their head to toe glam vision into a reality ever since!

Dara is a truly excellent hairstylist! With over 10 years of bridal and special event hairstyling experience, Dara can do it all, and she’s quick, too! She works with a known photographer, Roy Cox, and has her own studio suite in Columbia, MD. Dara can do all differently hairstyles and can work with all hair types. One of her many strengths is her ability to customize hairstyles for each client and setting realistic expectations for eaShe has worked with hundreds of brides and she has unanimous positive reviews! She loves hairstyling because she gets to help people feel confident in their skin and put a smile on their faces. She and Joie have been working together for 3 years. Her must share hair tip is “if you want your hair to last all day, use Bedhead hair spray and Kenra’s shine spray after, it doesn’t matter if your hairstyle is up or down!”

Brenda started her career in the beauty industry working in the makeup industry working at Esteé Lauder‘s “Cosmetic Company Store” working as an assistant manager for 3 years. Working there she learned a plethora of product knowledge including formulas and uses that in her career as a makeup artist to deliver the best results to her clients. Brenda loves luxury brands like Scott Barnes and Danessa Myricks and uses such brands to create her gorgeous glam masterpieces! Brenda has been a professional makeup artist for 8 years and has worked with many brides over the years. With all of her experience she has perfected that beautiful matte photo perfect finish that so many of clients regularly request. She is the queen of soft glam but she can execute any makeup look! Her favorite beauty icons are Desi Perkins and Kim Kardashian. Brenda and Joie have been working together for 6 years!
